Bluegrass Sportsplex is excited to partner with ME Hargan to bring you volleyball trainings this summer! The goal of Hargan's summer clinics is to develop better volleyball IQ, adaptability, and the specific technicalities needed to accomplish them. She hopes to pass the knowledge she has accumulated over the years to future generations to make the game that much better. She is going into her junior season at Morehead State University for indoor volleyball and beach volleyball. She has accumulated numerous kills, blocks, and digs. She was awarded first team all conference for indoor along with offensive player of the week two times. She was awarded for beach volleyball second all conference team first OVC pair of the week to kick off the season this year. She was a major contributor to Etown High Volleyball success throughout 4 years there. She accumulated many great accomplishments like first team all state 2x, junior and senior year, 5th region player of the year as a senior, 3rd in the state for kills junior year, 1st in the state for kills senior year. Throughout the 4 years she racked up over 1500 kills total, 620 alone her senior year. She was part of back to back region championships and senior year accomplished the feat of defeating Mercy volleyball team. She played club ball from age 12-18. She was on the top travel team starting from age 14-18. She was taught by various amazing coaches like Jasmine Bennett (former Louisville player), Anna Palmer (former Memphis player), Dan Palmer (infamous volleyball guru), and even her own mom (former western Kentucky player). She will be available to work with ages 7th-10th grade Wednesdays and Fridays 5p-6p. One session is $35. A five session package is $125. FUTSAL TRAINING! Sole Academy will be partnering with the Sportsplex to bring futsal training to you this summer. We are looking for advanced players that have experience in a club environment who are wanting to improve their futsal skills! The trainings will be all at one time, but the trainers will divide out each age group as appropriate. Youth Summer Basketball League! We will be starting evaluations the first week of June! Make sure to get your kids signed up. June 1st Registration will Close! We will learn new sports, apply those skills to organized games on the turf and courts, bounce on inflatables, have fun inside CKA, create crafts, and each week have MOVIE on the TURF, WATER DAY, and FIELD DAY! Academy Overview • Monday – Friday, 8:15AM-4PM (late checkout of 4:30 available for $25/week pass and $10 extra for a day pass) • Ages 6-12 years old • Weekly registration cost: $175 per child • Snacks and Lunch can be purchased through concession stand or attendee can bring snacks and lunch from home • Fridays will be PIZZA DAY which is included in registration price • Register per week, see below for dates • Daily drop-ins welcome, $50 per day Academy Schedule • Check-In, 8:15AM-8:30AM • Sport of the Day, all sports, trainings, and games will be organized to be played with kids of the same age group/ability level. Daily sport below (schedule may change week to week based on trainer availability) o Monday – Soccer o Tuesday – Basketball o Wednesday - Volleyball o Thursday - Pickleball/Flag football o Friday – Recap of all the sports from the week! • Lunch, attendees can bring their lunch from home or purchase a lunch from our concession stand. A lunch menu will be sent home prior to the week your child attends. • CKA and Inflatables, WATER DAY, MOVIE on the TURF, FIELD DAY, the activity during this time will be determined based on weather so it may adjust from week to week, but we will email parents at the beginning of the week with a projected schedule based on weather forecast. • OPEN PLAY, this will be a time when your child can pick a sport to play or enjoy board games and crafts. • A 50% refund will be offered if you cancel your child before 2 weeks prior to start date. NO refund will be provided if you cancel within two weeks of start date.
